A superb post. I love to cook and often plan too many dishes for an occasion. Then, instead of having time to blow dry h my hair I find myself resorting to trying to give it a bit of life with a curling iron. That never really works. Finally I got tired of looking crummy in family photos and now on the day of a gathering I do my hair and make-up first--and if one extra dish doesn't make it to the buffet dish, no one but I knows it.

I avoid mirrors, and have fallen in love with photoshop. you look great in anything you wear or in nothing. Frankly, you looked fabulous after having cooked for days, sweating in a hot kitchen and pigging out. Lets face it, we are not in our twenties anymore. The important part was you were smiling, and you were with three other beautiful women.
